The Energy Division at ARM are currently recruiting a Controls and Instrumentation Hardware Engineer, to be based out of Northampton for our globally recognised client.
What you will be doing:
Design, develop, and commission control systems, including variable speed motors and drives, PLC-based test systems, and P&ID diagrams. Collaborate with customers and internal teams to deliver projects. Ensure designs meet with compliance with legislative requirements. Create high-quality system specifications and test documentation. Assist with on-site commissioning of systems in the UK and internationally.
What do you need to succeed?
6. Qualified to NVQ 5 minimum/degree level or equivalent in a relevant engineering discipline
7. Practical experience of designing and developing control and instrumentation systems
8. PLC Programming experience with Siemens Step 7 / TIA Portal / Controllogix / Beckhoff PLC / Codesys
9. Knowledge of Electrical legislation and compliance techniques UKCA, CE, UL, CSA, and Industrial safety standards and design e.g. ISO, IEC
10. ATEX and EMC standards and design
