Are you ready to take your career to the next level? AXA UK&I is seeking a talented Corporate Finance Consultant to drive corporate finance activity, including M&A initiatives. In this pivotal role, a fixed term contract until the end of 2025, you’ll engage with senior stakeholders across finance and various functions, collaborating closely with AXA Group teams while reporting directly to the UK Management Committee and AXA UK Board.
Your expertise will be crucial in providing financial and strategic insights as you partner with business units and support functions. At AXA we work smart, empowering our people to balance their time between home and the office in a way that works best for them, their team and our customers. You'll work at least 40% of your week away from home, moving to the majority of your working week from September 2025. Away from home means either attendance at one of our office locations, visiting clients or attending industry events. What you’ll be doing:
* Lead capital optimisation initiatives across AXA UK&I, including reinsurance, capital modelling and business transfers.
* Provide corporate finance expertise for M&A and disposal activities, including valuations and due diligence.
* Drive market scanning and target identification while engaging with business stakeholders and AXA Group.
* Execute corporate simplification initiatives within AXA UK.
* Collaborate extensively with a range of senior business stakeholders to ensure timely execution of initiatives.
* Foster strong relationships with Senior Management and stakeholders, promoting transparency and collaboration.
What you’ll bring:
* Proven track record in finance management within the insurance industry.
* Experience in project management.
* Qualified accountant or actuary.
* First-class analytical and problem-solving skills, with the confidence to tackle complex issues and take decisive action.
* Outstanding leadership, negotiation, and management abilities that inspire teams and foster collaboration.
* Talent for building and managing key relationships, with the independence to challenge the status quo and influence stakeholders effectively.
* Experience interacting with Executives, Senior Management, and regulators, ensuring seamless communication and strategic alignment.
* In-depth knowledge of capital management, risk management and general insurance.
