Job Description:
A dynamic and passionate Humanities Teacher is required for a secondary school in Harlow. The position is to start in January 2025, and we are looking for a dedicated educator to inspire and support students in the Humanities department. Key Responsibilities:
Deliver high-quality lessons in Geography, History, and other Humanities (or other Humanities subjects, depending on experience).
Create engaging and inclusive lesson plans that meet the needs of all students, promoting a love of learning.
Support the development of students' critical thinking, analytical skills, and understanding of the world.
Assess, track, and report on student progress, providing constructive feedback to students and parents.
Maintain a positive classroom environment and manage behavior effectively.
Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the delivery of the Humanities curriculum.
Contribute to extra-curricular activities and school events when required.
Person Specification:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
A degree in a relevant subject (e.g., History, Geography, Religious Studies).
Previous experience teaching Humanities at Key Stage 3 and 4 (Key Stage 5 desirable but not essential).
A passion for Humanities education and the ability to inspire students.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
