The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of the insurance industry, strong analytical capabilities, and a user-first mentality. Work closely with the Business & IT teams to take ownership of data products, including pipelines, data warehouses, and analytics tools. Proven experience as a Product Owner (or similar function) with strong experience in an insurance business area. Strong understanding & curiosity about data engineering, data warehousing, and analytics concepts. You will be responsible for guiding the success of a Data product delivery and leading the cross-functional team that is responsible for improving it. It is a pivotal role that requires balancing various factors to ensure that the delivery object and aligns with Chubb’s strategic goals. Key responsibilities: Product Development: Lead the end-to-end data product development process, including Discovery, Solution Design, Build, Test and Delivery ensuring timely and successful delivery of new insurance products. Define detailed requirements, including user needs, feature specifications, and compliance requirements. Work closely with cross-functional teams (underwriting, actuarial, legal, IT, marketing) to understand end user requirements Data assets Lifecycle Management: Manage the full lifecycle of insurance data assets, including launch, ongoing improvements, and end-of-life planning. Supervise data assets performance using key metrics and make data-driven decisions to optimise product offerings. Regularly review and adjust strategies based on user feedback, and business priorities. Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the primary product champion within the company, communicating product plans and progress to stakeholders. Collaborate with sales, marketing, and users to develop effective go-to-market strategies and ensure alignment on product messaging. User Focus: Deeply understand user needs through research, data analysis, and direct engagement. Ensure product decisions are user-centric and improve the overall user experience. Gather and analyse user feedback to continuously improve products and services. Qualifications Requirements & Experience: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in business, Finance, Marketing, or a related field. An MBA or advanced degree in a related field is preferred. Experience with data lakes, data warehouses, business intelligence and reporting. Familiarity with cloud technologies (e.g. AWS, Azure, Google, Databricks, Snowflake) Experience with analytics and AI/ML Certification in NICE InContact or related technologies is a plus but not required. 5 years of product management experience, with at least 3 years in the insurance industry (life, health, property, casualty, etc.). Demonstrated success in managing insurance products, from Discovery, Solution Design, Build, Test and Delivery. Experience leading multiple teams through data transformation initiatives. Experience working with senior executives, strategic vendors and regulators. Strong analytical skills with ability to troubleshoot, research, assess and develop observations/findings. Ability to communicate sophisticated information to both technical and non-technical groups. Experience with leading large/complex migration efforts from traditional legacy environments to Cloud based, data streaming platforms. Emotional intelligence and passion for improving user experience and journeys. Strong leadership skills with the ability to lead cross-functional teams in a matrixed environment. Proficiency in product management tools and software (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, etc.).
