ROLE OF THE JOB
The successful candidate will join the Streetworks team; the main role of the Streetworks team is to coordinate works on the highway network in order to minimize disruption to residents and the travelling public. This is a fast-paced working environment that offers a lot of variety in terms of day-to-day duties.
The role will include processing and recording any licences and legal orders as well as collecting and monitoring any associated charges. The individual will also have responsibility for monitoring a number of mailboxes and managing contact with public and private sector organisations including utility companies, members of the public, elected members and other council departments.
This role is offered on a Fixed Term contract until the 31/03/2028.
REQUIREMENTS OF THE JOB
1. Good general standard of education including GCSEs at Grade C or above, or equivalent, in Maths and English or NVQ Level 3 in Business Administration.
2. Experience of working in a high-pressure office environment with emphasis on accuracy and achieving deadlines.
3. Good interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels with those internal and external to the authority, both verbally and in writing.
