Key Responsibilities in this Material Science job Develop and optimise material recipes for photocathode, secondary electron emission, and vacuum window coatings. Operate and refine coating systems to enhance material growth and performance. Implement new photocathode monitoring techniques and evaluate underlayer improvements. Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders, answering technical queries from customers. Present research findings at industry conferences and contribute to scientific advancements. Support health & safety and quality standards compliance, including ISO 9001 and ISO 14001. What We’re Looking For in the Material Science job Essential Qualifications & Experience: A PhD or degree in Physics, Chemistry, Materials Science, or Surface Science. Hands-on experience with thin film deposition techniques. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts. Desirable Skills & Attributes: Experience working in a clean room environment.
