We’re looking for a Cook who can serve up more than just good food – someone who brings warmth, care and a dash of creativity to every mealtime.
At CrossReach, meals are a big part of daily life. You’ll be planning and preparing dishes that are nutritious, tasty and tailored to individual needs – with plenty of home baking and the occasional celebration spread thrown in too. Cleanliness, safety and smart budgeting all come with the role, but we’ll support you every step of the way.
This role follows a regular shift pattern: one shift during the week, and every alternate weekend. Shifts start bright and early at 7am – perfect for early birds who like to get the day off to a good start!
You’ll need catering experience and an Elementary Food Hygiene Certificate. If you don’t have the certificate yet, no problem – we’ll help you get it. A good understanding of food safety is a bonus, as are basic computer skills for completing online training.
Most importantly, you’ll be kind, reliable, and ready to make a difference through what you do best.
We also offer a range of benefits that you would expect from an organisation that supports others, including:
1. Access to exclusive retail and leisure discounts through our rewards scheme and the Blue Light Discount card.
2. A generous contributory pension plan and death in service benefit.
3. Enhanced family-friendly policies to help balance work and family.
4. Access to our health cash plan, giving you cash back for a wide range of health treatments.
5. A care concierge service to assist you with life's challenges.
6. Support for your professional development, including contributions to your professional membership fees.
CrossReach has been at the forefront of high-quality social care for over 150 years, providing loving care to people of all ages and supporting them to live life to the full whatever their circumstances. We are one of the largest social care providers in Scotland, with experience across a broad range of services.
This post requires you to be a member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme and undertake the necessary vetting checks. You will also be required to be registered with SSSC and it is your professional responsibility to ensure that you meet the standards and criteria for registration.
