A growing Defence client of ours is currently in the market for a Project Manager to join on an FTC basis. The role will be to work within the programme function and you will support a wide variety of internal and external packages & programmes. You will be responsible for managing one or more projects or work packages to deliver the agreed scope within planned quality, time, and cost parameters.
Key Responsibilities include:
1. Deliver project and/or work packages to agreed time, cost and quality parameters.
2. Organise, plan, estimate, coordinate and lead the project resources and activities.
3. Manage and motivate the project team.
4. Manage risks and issues proactively.
5. Ensure effective and open communication throughout the project team and with stakeholders.
6. Manage relationships with key customer personnel.
7. Manage and deliver the required deliverables for each project, phase or stage.
8. Tracking, updating and reporting progress and or variance.
9. Support PMO delivery, reporting and improvements.
Experience & Skills required for the role:
1. Plan and execute projects and work packages to deliver agreed benefits including the development and implementation of change management plans.
2. Help sponsors and stakeholders to understand and fulfil their role in successfully landing sustainable change.
3. Continuously improve effectiveness of processes in area of expertise.
4. Risk assessment and management of business change including assessing and analysing change impacts and the organisation's readiness for change.
5. Supporting Programmes Function to set up and apply appropriate process, tools, measures and techniques (including risk management, change management).
