Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Credit Controller to join our finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the credit control process, ensuring timely collection of outstanding debts, and maintaining healthy cash flow for the organisation.
Duties
1. Calculate the credit status of clients to identify debtors and credit level.
2. Assist customers in setting up a credit control system that allows for periodic debt repayment.
3. Ensure daily cash and debtor targets are met.
4. Contact debtors through calls and emails to notify them of outstanding invoices.
5. Maintain regular contact with customers to ensure proper management of debt.
6. Maintain proper records of customer accounts and purchasing activities.
7. Monitor payment history to identify changes and take necessary actions.
8. Offer recommendations and advice on queries regarding accounts receivable.
9. Ensure prompt reply to customer feedback.
10. Commence legal action against debtors in the event of delayed payment.
11. Oversee the forwarding of monthly statements to customers to keep them updated on debt collection activities.
12. Report and discuss appropriate terms and conditions for debt repayment.
13. Post payments to accounting system.
14. Deal with customer returns and customer queries.
