Job Description
We have an opportunity to join United Living as Senior Planner for the Yorkshire region. You will look after the planning role on 3 high-rise residential projects in Leeds city centre and report to the Project Manager/Director of each project. Proficient in the functions of Asta Powerproject, you will undertake the following as a key member of the project teams:
* Develop and maintain a full range of integrated target and contract programmes including but not limited to Tender, Design release, Procurement, Construction, line of balance trackers and short-term programmes using the full features and capabilities of Asta Powerproject, Excel, Sketchup, and other software.
* Maintain a relationship with members of our supply chain throughout the build to ensure that appropriate periods are used for all activities. Understand the drivers affecting durations and challenge where appropriate.
* Visit the sites you are responsible for (up to 3 sites) weekly and tour the sites collecting progress information including works progressed, delays, actual start and finish dates.
* Produce a number of reports for senior management including input into client progress, internal board report/dashboard, shift statement, and weekly progress update.
* Work closely with the site teams to demystify Gantt charts through the development of short-term punch lists and other tools to encourage their use.
* Plan and manage the process of projects through the Building Safety Gateways.
Qualifications
* Ideally 10 years of experience within a commercial construction company with 5 years or more in a planning role.
* Ideally from a site management background or similar.
* Experience of working on high-rise residential buildings.
* Expert in the use of Asta Powerproject in developing and monitoring detailed logic linked and resourced construction programmes.
* Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, Sketchup, and other software.
* Ideally familiar with producing 4D programmes linked to BIM models.
* CSCS card.
