Job Description
Your new role as a Highways Team Leader involves managing routine and reactive maintenance activities across designated sections.
You will oversee project briefings, ensure team and public safety, monitor resource utilization, and communicate with stakeholders.
The standard working hours are 40 hours across five days (8:30 AM - 4:30 PM).
You will be responsible for:
* Maintaining high technical standards and coordinating project briefings.
* Ensuring team and public safety in compliance with health and safety legislation.
* Monitoring resource utilization and conducting cost-value analyses.
* Liaising with various stakeholders, managing records, and completing necessary paperwork.
* Coordinating day-to-day maintenance operations and managing resources efficiently.
* Developing and managing emergency standby and winter rotas.
* Organizing road space bookings, ordering necessary materials, and conducting performance reviews.
We are looking for individuals with the following qualifications and skills:
* Driver's License (Class 2 HGV - desirable)
* People Management Experience
* Good communication skills
* Relevant certifications: Banksman Slinger, CAT Scanner (Highways), Emergency First Aid at Work (HSE), Environmental Awareness, Personal Highways Safety, Manual Handling
