BDS are recruiting for an experienced Housing Management worker, working with a social justice charity providing housing related support to vulnerable sdults and families 18+\n\nAbout the role\nThe working hours will be Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, covering a caseload of around 22 properties in the Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire area.\nHybrid working, you will be in the office in Derby DE1 on a Wednesday, the rest of the week is Hybrid and client/property visits.\nDirectly supporting tenants to manage their tenancy, assisting them with housing benefit claims and signposting them to relevant support services and liaising with support services where required.\nConducting initial and regular assessments of the potential or actual service user including any risks, their needs, and requirements in respect of the service, to determine eligibility for the service taking necessary action where required are delivered.\nWorking with the Housing Management Team to ensure the correct tenancies are issued, sign up new tenancies and ensure the service user understands and accepts tenancy obligations.\nBe involved in ordering furniture and goods for the property\nWork closely with the Asset Management team on ensuring property standards are maintained, repairs are reported in a timely way and ensuring the properties are suitable for letting and safe occupation.\nMaximise rent collection and adhere to the arrears management policy and procedure\nPay:- £13.17 per hour PAYE / £17.21 per hour UMB\n\nAbout you\nYou will need to have experience in supporting clients with their tenancies, applying for benefits and signposting information.\nRequirements\nYou will need to be a driver with access to a car with correct business insurance.\nYou will need an enhanced Adult and Child DBS in place, less than 8 months old or registered on the update service.\nWe are unable to process any applications without the above requirements\n\nFull job spec is available on request
