Service Engineer - Industrial Controls / PLC - Electrically Biased - West Yorkshire Based / Hybrid Working
£42-50k basic + Uplift + Overtime = OTE £55-70k + 25 days holiday + training + access to company vehicle for site work.
Samuel Frank is recruiting for a Service Engineer with a background in Electrical engineering who has PLC fault-finding experience, to join a rapidly growing business that's based in West Yorkshire.
The company is big on training and development and because they're small, the role will be diverse and offer the successful Service Engineer a role with a wide variety of responsibilities and challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Service and maintenance of control panels and automated production line equipment, mainly remote with some in-person support for machine breakdowns.
2. Previous PLC code interrogation experience (ideally with Allen Bradley, Mitsubishi or Siemens PLCs) and understand PLC logic.
3. Interrogate a wide range of electrical equipment.
4. Most of the work can be delivered remotely so trips to site might only be once a week or once a fortnight.
5. Conduct inspections, testing and reporting of electrical systems.
6. Out-of-hours roster for remote support - 1 in 4 weeks - uplift / overtime paid.
Because of the x1.25 overtime rates and the uplift for being on-call, an OTE of £55-70k is very realistic. The company has made it very clear that they're very keen on personal and professional development.
Minimum Requirements:
1. Ideally have an HNC/D in Electronic and Electrical Engineering (or related subject).
2. 18th Edition - nice to have/desirable.
3. At least 3 years' experience in a service engineering role or similar.
4. Full UK driving licence - essential.
5. Must be eligible to work in the UK without sponsorship.
The company's base is commutable from Leeds, Harrogate, York, Selby, Tadcaster, Otley, Garforth, Castleford and Knottingley.
