Maths Tutor Wanted - Flexible, Rewarding Role!
Are you a passionate science teacher looking for flexible and rewarding work? We have an exciting opportunity for experienced Maths tutors to join our team in Brent and the surrounding areas!
Role Requirements:
* Pay: £30 - £35 per hour
* DBS on Update: Must have an up-to-date DBS check.
* Subjects: Maths
* Location: Brent and surrounding areas.

This tutor role involves:
* Planning lessons and resources around the student's needs, including core subjects or life skills.
* Delivering engaging sessions.
* Applying skills to raise pupils' confidence.
* Managing children with challenging behaviour.
* Tracking the learning progress of the student to achieve their desired learning outcomes and providing monthly reports.
* Engaging in outdoor activities such as learning about plants and nature with the student.
* Utilizing visuals to communicate in some cases.
Responsibilities:
* Instruction:
o Plan and deliver lessons tailored to the student's individual learning needs.
o Teach a range of topics, including basic arithmetic, algebra, geometry, calculus, and statistics (depending on student level).
* Assessment:
o Regularly assess students' understanding of topics through quizzes, tests, and assignments.
o Provide feedback on students' strengths and areas for improvement.
* Customisation:
o Adjust lesson plans and teaching strategies to match the student's pace and learning style.
o Create additional practice problems or resources as needed to reinforce concepts.
* Student Support:
o Help students build confidence in solving mathematical problems and understanding theoretical concepts.
o Offer assistance with homework, exam preparation, and school projects.
* Communication:
o Maintain open communication with parents, guardians, or supervisors regarding student progress.
o Provide progress reports and suggest strategies for improvement.
* Continuous Learning:
o Stay updated on new teaching methods, math curriculum changes, and math-related technology tools.
o Participate in professional development opportunities to improve teaching skills.
