Working Hours: 8:45am - 3:30pm
Salary: £13.65 per hour

A welcoming school located in the South Ribble area, committed to providing an inspiring and supportive learning environment for their students. Are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Year 2 General Classroom Support Teaching Assistant to join their team from September 2025.
Role Overview:
As a Year 2 Teaching Assistant, you will provide essential support within the classroom, assisting the teacher in delivering high-quality lessons and helping students to achieve their full potential. You will work closely with children, supporting their individual learning needs, assisting with classroom management, and creating a positive, inclusive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support the Year 2 class teacher in planning, delivering, and assessing lessons.
* Assist in managing the classroom, ensuring a productive and focused learning environment.
* Provide targeted support to individual students or small groups, helping with literacy, numeracy, and other curriculum areas.
* Promote positive Behavior and support students' emotional and social development.
* Assist in the preparation of learning resources and classroom displays.
* Maintain records of students' progress and provide feedback to the teacher.
* Help supervise students during break times and on school trips when necessary.
Essential Qualifications & Experience:
* Previous experience working within a Key Stage 1 (KS1) classroom, preferably with Year 2 students.
* A strong understanding of the Key Stage 1 curriculum.
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students and staff.
* A patient, adaptable, and proactive approach to supporting children’s learning and development.
Desirable:
* Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
