Job Function: Business Change and Project Management

Eastern Green Link 2 & 3 are multi-billion pound projects, both of which are being delivered via Joint Venture between National Grid and SSEN. Both projects are focusing on the development of Eastern HVDC Subsea Links which will connect Scotland and England to support the transfer of renewable electricity to key UK centres of demand.
The Project Services Function has a significant role to play in supporting delivery of these projects, including the change and resource management team through the pro-active management of the baseline / non baseline change process and the resource management process.
The Change and Resource Manager will be responsible for developing our current change control and resource management processes and toolsets to deliver a timely and efficient service to our project teams providing confidence in the fidelity of the projects data and the availability of the resources required to deliver the project. It will involve working with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
We are looking for a Project Management professional with considerable experience in large construction programmes, knowledge of change control and resource management. In addition, the interpersonal and leadership skills to help develop the change and resource team but also create strong relationships with the wider parent company teams. In this role you will combine functional best practices with the behaviours and culture needed to effect change in a large diverse organisation.
This role is based at our Glasgow and we continue to offer hybrid working from office and home.

* Professional Experience with extensive knowledge of change control and resource management, with good knowledge of other functions such as planning, risk and cost control.
* Demonstrable experience of successfully working in a matrix and integrated team on major infrastructure projects and leading a geographically spread team.
* Demonstrate the ability to influence and communicate with senior stakeholders.
* Demonstrable examples of exercising sound judgement, and facilitating decision making on complex issues among multiple stakeholders.
* Demonstrate good commercial awareness and how it integrates with the wider parent companies.
* Ability to bring creative and innovative approaches to the projects that deliver lasting improvements.

What you'll do
* Lead the development and implementation of effective change control and resource management policy, strategy, process, procedures, practices, and behaviours to be used consistently across all projects.
* Work with key stakeholders to educate them on the importance of change control and resource management.
* Combine the strengths of People, Process and Systems to enable a high-performance team to deliver the change control and resource management deliverables.
* Support continuous improvement of the performance of the Project Services team, setting high standards and creating a culture of learning and continuous improvement.
* Leading the change control and resource management workstream, including the prioritisation and allocation of specific workload activities and coaching and mentoring of a geographically spread team.
* Providing guidance, advice and leadership to the change control and resource management team representatives allocated to the delivery projects. In addition, enable collaboration within the team and the development of new ideas and enhancements. This will include team meetings and workshops for development initiatives.
* Collaborating with all stakeholders to ensure project data is up to date, appropriate, readily available for performance reporting and easily understood to support effective decision making.
What you'll get
A competitive salary between £68,000 - £78,000 – dependent on capability.
As well as your base salary, you will receive a bonus of up to 15% of your salary for stretch performance and a competitive contributory pension scheme where we will double match your contribution to a maximum company contribution of 12%.
