An exciting opportunity has arisen within Academic Collaboration, and we are seeking to appoint a motivated and knowledgeable individual to the role of Education Services Officer.
The Team
Academic Collaboration is responsible for the quality assurance and oversight of collaborative provision, academic partnerships and apprenticeships across the University. The Team works closely alongside the Academy and a wide range of Professional Services colleagues to deliver key University quality processes including:
1. Approval and ongoing review of collaborative partners
2. Management of programme approval, review and amendment procedures for collaborative and apprenticeship provision
3. Approval and review of articulations and off-site delivery arrangements
4. Management of Professional, Statutory and Regulatory Body (PSRB) approvals and monitoring of ongoing compliance
5. Ensuring that the requirements of external quality and standards bodies such as the Office for Students and Ofsted are addressed
The Role
The post-holder will be required to work across the range of partnership activity but will primarily support work related to collaborative provision and regulatory compliance. They will provide high-level administrative support across the Academic Collaboration Team. They will be responsible for the management of administrative systems, in addition to the dissemination of information to support the development and management of the University's partnership activity.
They will be required to make use of a range of qualitative and quantitative data to inform the development and/or review of programmes delivered through an academic collaboration partnership.
They will provide a significant contribution to the development and implementation of the University's policies, systems and procedures to enhance the quality of the student learning experience and maintain academic standards in line with external body requirements.
They will support compliance with statutory returns to external bodies for provision supported by the wider team.
They will work closely with academic and professional service colleagues across the University, as well as external partners, to raise awareness of, and ensure compliance with, the relevant University's policies and procedures through the provision of authoritative advice, guidance and administrative support.
They will work independently to manage multiple, complex projects from start to finish.
They will positively represent the team and the broader University on partner visits both within the UK and overseas.
Please note that it is expected that all colleagues will also carry out cross-directorate work as and when required, such as supporting with graduations, student enrolment and clearing.
Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who:
1. Has a keen interest and broad understanding of the key issues related to Higher Education, and more specifically partnership and compliance activity within Higher Education.
2. Is capable of working on multiple projects simultaneously and independently.
3. Has experience in arranging and supporting a wide variety of meetings and events.
4. Has the ability to communicate complex information to a wide range of stakeholders through a variety of channels.
5. Has the ability to work flexibly to accommodate the needs of a wide range of stakeholders, demonstrating adaptability and responsiveness in a busy environment.
6. Has a strong attention to detail and accuracy, and can produce a range of high-level reports in multiple formats.
7. Can positively and professionally represent both the team and the University when liaising with external partners and/or regulatory bodies.
