Industrialisation Work Package Manager Glasgow - Hybrid Thales designs a range of state-of-the-art solutions for some of the most technically advanced defence and security platforms in the world. We have over 100 years' experience in design and manufacture of state-of-the-art Periscopes and Optronics and have led Optronics innovation on a global scale, by combining world-leading expertise from across the Thales group. We're recruiting for a Work Package Manger to be responsible for managing projects, implementing efficient work processes and ensuring timely completion of deliverables within our New Product Introduction team. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers, technicians, and contractors, to ensure the successful execution of industrial projects. Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement project plans, work processes, and schedules for industrial work packages. Manage all phases of industrial projects, from initiation to completion, ensuring adherence to project scope, budget, and timeline. Collaborate with engineers, technicians, and contractors to define project goals, objectives, and deliverables. Monitor the progress of industrial work packages and resolve any issues or conflicts that may arise. Coordinate and allocate resources effectively to ensure efficient project execution. Foster effective communication and collaboration among project teams, ensuring clear and timely exchange of information. Identify and mitigate risks through proactive planning and execution strategies. Oversee the procurement of materials, equipment, and services required for industrial projects. Financial and Budget Control Input to and hold responsibility for Industrialisation budgets, to include Tooling and Test Equipment, IPE NRE activity, pre PRR assembly and test builds Report monthly on spend, progress to date and ETC Agreed Budget ( with changes from Original Bid quantified / confirmed & covered by Baseline Change Requests) Current Status (Actual /Forecast Dates % Complete) Estimated Remaining Work Required to Complete the Scope of Work Skills, experience and knowledge required Technical, Manufacturing or Process Engineering experience or equivalent, ideally within a regulated sector. Strong stakeholder management experience, including delivery key data and presenting to key stakeholders to provide updates on key deliverables and address challenging subjects Proven experience in managing industrial projects, work packages, or related roles. This would include experience and/or knowledge of tools such as MS Projects. Familiarity with project management methodologies, tools, and software. Ability to adapt to changing project requirements and work in a fast-paced environment Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams. Use of MRP/ERP/MES and other industrial toolsets Security Clearance statement This role will require SC Clearance.
