UK Motorsport Sales Coordinator

An excellent opportunity for a dynamic sales professional to join an internationally trading organisation within the prestigious UK motorsport market.
Clarendon is a leading stockist & distributor of fastening systems to the aerospace, defence, motorsport and general engineering industries. Clarendon offers the most comprehensive range of fastening systems available and is a major player in servicing the world’s leading motorsport teams and OEM’s. At the heart of the business are our aerospace grade fasteners which include specifications to British (A, AGS, AS, SP), European (DIN, LN), and American (AN, BAC, MS, NAS) standards.
In order to support and continue the growth whilst consolidating further our market share in the UK, an opportunity has arisen for a UK Motorsport Sales Coordinator.
Reporting to the Sales Manager, the role will include all aspects of internal sales and customer service; handling both new and existing business. This will be undertaken through internal and external communication and working closely with all stakeholders in each of the departments (Purchasing, Operations, Quality & Finance).
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Sales enquiries
2. Quotation requests
3. Administration – Order book management
4. Order progressing
5. Support with new customer opportunities/projects
6. Support to internal & external sales force
7. Address competition
8. Occasional customer visits and exhibitions
9. Reporting
Objectives:
1. Increase sales to new & existing customer base by building strong customer relationships within the chosen geographical areas and customers
2. Build strong relationships with all customers/prospects through day to day communication
3. Improve customer service (and therefore Clarendon competitiveness) by quick turnaround of order input and quotation
4. Support the achievement of the targets of the Motorsport Sales division
Key Attributes:
1. Highly self-motivated and dynamic professional
2. Team player
3. Ability to work under their own initiative and under pressure
4. Business qualification and/or some sales experience in the aerospace / fasteners industry would be advantageous
5. Good knowledge of mathematics (cost, product margin & price calculations)
6. Computer skills (experience using an ERP system and proficiency in Excel) would be advantageous
