Greenwich CLDT has received new funding to recruit a part-time Band 6 position within a well-established Adult Learning Disability (ALD) Speech and Language Therapy Team. This post will be part of a team that includes a Band 7, Band 6s and SaLT Co-worker who work as part of a robust group of AHPs (psychiatry, psychology, physical health and mental health nurses, physios, OTs, art and music therapists) alongside their social work colleagues in an integrated CLDT. Main duties of the job To work as a Specialist Speech and Language Therapist within the Adult Learning Disability Directorate, delivering high quality assessment and intervention to young people and adults with Learning Disabilities and their carers, with a particular focus on Transition. This is a great opportunity for a therapist wanting to further develop their specialist skills working with young people and adults with learning disabilities including those with Autistic Spectrum Disorder. As a community SaLT you will be liaising in a wide variety of contexts including people's homes, schools, colleges, day service and other community facilities. This service is based in Woolwich; we have an agile working system and there is the possibility of some home working.
