We are looking for a person with good computer, coordination, and communication skills to join our reception team.
Specific training will be provided, although an interest in IT is preferable.
We are hiring for two separate positions: one role is 21.25 hours per week spread across four days: Monday 8:30am-1pm, Tuesday 8:30am-1pm, Thursday 7:45am-4:30pm (1hr unpaid lunch), and Friday 8:30am-1pm. The second role is 20 hours per week spread across three days: Tuesday 1pm-7pm, Wednesday 8:30am-4:30pm (1hr unpaid lunch), and Friday 8:30am-4:30pm (1hr unpaid lunch).
We ask that you assist with overtime, a minimum of 4 hours per month.
Main duties of the job
As part of a team, achieve a smooth running and efficient surgery for both GPs and patients and provide all necessary administrative support required by the Practice.
Provide an efficient and professional reception service during surgeries and clinics.
Ensure that all record keeping, both manual and computerized, is accurate and up to date.
Respect patient confidentiality at all times.
Job responsibilities
Main Duties:
1. Run the appointment and associated IT systems accurately and maximize use of available time.
2. Repeat prescribing as directed by the doctors.
3. Deal with queries by reference to both computerized and manual records.
4. Perform clerical work related to the reception function.
5. Open and close premises, ensuring readiness for use and security out of hours.
6. Perform other such duties as required for the smooth running of the practice.
