Job Summary
Kiwa Electrical Compliance (KEC) is seeking a Graduate Electrical Safety Engineer to join our team in Blackwood, South Wales. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting electrical safety testing on a variety of products to meet customer requirements. You will also collaborate with experienced engineers to perform testing on a diverse range of innovative technologies, gaining valuable hands-on experience and technical expertise. About the role
1. Act as a Kiwa Ambassador, embodying ambition, reliability, and engagement.
2. Under the supervision of senior engineers, perform on-site tests to customer requirements, following technical procedures and schedules.
3. With guidance, oversee assigned projects from start to finish, ensuring on-time completion (OTIF) while balancing multiple priorities.
4. Under supervision, maintain accurate test records and professional reports, communicate delays to the laboratory manager, and adhere to Quality Management System (QMS), Health & Safety regulations, and company policies.
5. With mentorship from senior colleagues, champion operational excellence by identifying process enhancements, troubleshooting technical challenges, and assisting with Electrical Safety and EMC testing improvements.
6. Build strong client relationships, understand their needs, and work alongside senior colleagues to identify opportunities to upsell testing services, passing leads to the sales team.
7. Develop technical understanding through mentorship, training opportunities, and hands-on experience.
8. Assist with administrative tasks, contract reviews, and operational planning, and meet and greet clients when needed.
Do you have what it takes?
1. Engineering graduate (Bachelor's) with a strong problem-solving mindset, a practical approach, and a results-driven attitude.
2. Excellent planning, organisation and stakeholder management skills.
3. Ability to work and reach targets set independently and autonomously.
4. Exceptional communication skills and interpersonal relations at all levels.
5. Good working knowledge of typical IT tools (Microsoft Office, Word, Outlook, TEAMs, Planner etc).
6. The ability to engage and influence colleagues to achieve common goals and objectives.
7. Solid understanding of electrical and electronic principles, with a strong numerical aptitude.
8. A full clean driving license, with willingness to travel if and when needed.
What can you expect from us in return?
1. £25,000 per annum
