As a warehouse lead, you would ensure that daily physical inventory and weekly/monthly cycle count data are used to maintain warehouse and customer material accuracy. You would receive and distribute products, store products in designated areas, enter transactions into the computer, and carry out tasks related to both inbound and outbound shipments.
Key responsibilities
* Safely operate Forklift, Reach Truck, and Pallet Stacker with Health & Safety awareness.
* Maximise storage efficiency and maintain stock visibility, preventing damage or spoilage.
* Ensure proper handling and storage of raw, semi-, and finished products to uphold quality.
* Manage stock control, goods-in process, and scheduling with accurate record-keeping.
* Coordinate with Supply Chain and QA teams to meet delivery, quality, and compliance standards.
* Monitor stock shelf life, implementing FIFO, and ensure proper labelling.
* Use ERP systems for inventory and resource planning, supporting automation where possible.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams for continuous improvement and operational excellence.
Experience / Skills
* Reach Truck / Forklift truck / Electric Pallet Stacker license.
* An enthusiastic and proactive approach to work.
* GMP and Health and Safety qualifications and experience in food manufacturing.
* The ability to plan ahead and deal with unexpected changes.
* A good eye for detail, able to work fast but accurately.
* Commercial awareness and numeracy skills.
Desirable:
* Previous experience in a stock/warehouse-related supervisor position, managing and maintaining OMS, WMS, ERP systems.
* Previous experience in stock management and forecasting.
* Computer literate and experience in handling electronic data.
* Excellent communication skills, both oral and written and able to interact with internal departments, contractors, customers and suppliers.
