Location: Media City, Salford - This is a hybrid role and the successful candidate will balance office with home working.
Salary: £27,800 to £35,867 depending on relevant skills, knowledge and experience. The expected salary range for this role reflects internal benchmarking and external market insights.

Job Introduction
BBC Bitesize is looking for an Assistant Producer to be a key part of the team delivering Bitesize Curriculum content. You will work closely with Bitesize Producers and Researchers, and with teams across the wider Education department and Nations, to deliver excellent, curriculum-focused content for audiences aged 4-16.
Main Responsibilities
You will have a key role in the delivery of one of the following curriculum projects:
• Primary History
• Primary Interactivity and Practice
You will have experience of commissioning high-quality digital content such as audio, video, copy and visuals from indies.
You will be able to translate curriculum learning outcomes into a content delivery plan.
You will have an ability to manage projects to schedule and budget, and practical experience of digital and/or interactive production and development.
You will have sound editorial judgement.
Are you the right candidate?
You will have:
• Practical experience of scoping and delivering editorial digital content creation projects.
• Experience of setting and managing schedules and budgets.
• Understanding of young audiences and their preferences and expectations of digital learning.
• Experience of commissioning video content from independent production companies.
• Evidence of a range of digital publishing skills, including previous use of CMS’s (e.g. iSite, Riddle), video upload software (e.g. iBroadcast), and image editing software (e.g. PhotoShop or Illustrator).
• Excellent editorial judgement.
• Experience of working in a team environment and enabling all to contribute their best work.
• A solid understanding of the UK curricula.
This role requires a relevant DBS check to be undertaken by the BBC at the appropriate level, at the point of offer of a contract of employment.
