We are a not-for-profit leisure trust with we have a strong purpose and commitment to support our local communities and hard-to-reach groups encouraging them to become more active, contributing to improved lives. From Swimming lessons, to walking football and everything in-between we are driven to provide fun and welcoming sessions to support the whole community to be active, both within our leisure centres and in the local community.
We are seeking a passionate Healthy Communities Engagement Co-ordinator to develop and deliver programs that support local communities. We are looking for someone who is highly organised, self-motivated and able to work with a wide range of people and groups. Key responsibilities include:
* Building partnerships with charities, schools, and community groups
* Organising and leading activities for priority groups, older adults, and families
* Coaching and facilitating sports and junior activities
* Collaborating with health and family support services for a joined-up approach
* Managing event promotion, risk assessments, and data collection
* Providing reports, testimonials, and case studies to showcase impact
* Ensuring excellent customer service and flexible working to meet community needs

Hours: 37 hours a week, Monday to Sunday (rota basis)
Requirements
* BTEC, YMCA or other activity qualifications
* Qualification to National Governing Body Level 2
* Proven experience of developing and delivering through sport development/ physical activity and community programmes
* Experience of programme management
* Experience of building effective relationships with charities and organisations
* An awareness of the roles of Active Partnerships, National Governing Body initiatives, the voluntary sector and Local Authorities
* Good computer skills and understanding
* Well-developed interpersonal skills
* Team orientated approach, able to work across organisation boundaries and demonstrate interest and be supportive of the work of staff
* To be able to work flexibly with a good level of autonomy, across a range of work areas at once
* Mobility to travel across the District(s)
* Excellent communication skills, able to think on your feet
* Excellent time management skills - able to deal with a number of priorities at once
* A self-starter who inspires others with their passion and energy
Desirable
* Safeguarding & First Aid
* At least 6 months experience within a sports / physical activity development-based role
