English Teacher/Specialist
Protocol Education are working with an alternative provision in the Swindon area and are looking for a Teacher of English/English Specialist. Hours - 08.30 - 16.00 (15.00 on Fridays)
Employment Type - Full time. Part time would be considered.
Pay - Dependent on experience. QTS/ECT paid to scale.
The school works hard to enable students who come through the provision to make better educational and life decisions. The school provides an opportunity to rebuild, reset and restart their journey in education through providing them with the skills to be prepared for the challenges they will face moving back into mainstream education and beyond.
Due to the nature of the school, the students do have a range of SEMH and challenging behaviours. Experience working in a similar environment, or with similar behaviours in some capacity is preferred, but not essential.
The ideal candidate will:
* Be an inspirational and passionate English teacher or specialist.
* Be a professional who is able to work in partnership with parents and other stakeholders.
* Be passionate about raising attainment in a classroom environment with students of all abilities.
* Be able to show evidence of continually improving the teaching and learning of their subject through schemes of work and extra-curricular activities.
To be successful in the role, you need to have personality, a good sense of humour and the ability to form trusting relationships with young people with challenging behaviours.
