Description
The main purpose of this role is to work together with the other Partnership Tax Accountant to ensure the partners' pay and tax affairs are dealt with accurately and on a timely basis. Your responsibilities will include:
1. Dealing with queries from partners regarding their pay and tax affairs
2. Calculating partner net of tax drawings allowances and setting payments
3. Dealing with partner promotions and changes
4. Preparing partner tax reserves, associated journals, personal tax returns and tax payments to HMRC
5. Reviewing partner tax balances and dealing with release of tax reserve balances following closure of tax year
6. Tax planning for partners including relief available for pension contributions
7. Dealing with departing partners and settling current account balances
To succeed in this role, you'll need to have:
8. Qualified by experience or be ATT qualified
9. A minimum 8 years in personal tax
10. A good working knowledge of Excel
11. The ability to use CCH personal tax software
12. High levels of confidentiality, discretion and diplomacy
13. The ability to process large volumes of data quickly and accurately
