Quality Control Technician (941859) Chorley, England
Working for a leading global supplier of small electrical appliances, we are looking for a QUALITY CONTROL TECHNICIAN to join the team located in Chorley.
This is a full-time permanent position, Monday to Friday 7am - 3pm, £25,000 - £26,000.
Reporting to the Quality Control Manager, you will be working as part of a driven team to quality check electrical appliances and report on any electrical and cosmetic faults.
If you have experience in testing electrical equipment, PAT testing, and a good understanding of basic electrical principles, this would be an advantage; however, it is NOT essential. We are looking for an individual with the desire to work as a team and strong attention to detail to identify faults in returned products before they go out to customers. You should be able to use MS Office for completing reports and general administration.
Our client would also be happy to put individuals through a PAT testing course.
Responsibilities
1. Work as a team under the supervision of the Quality Supervisor to report issues.
2. Ensure all equipment is functioning properly and report any repairs where necessary.
3. Prepare quality documentation and reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
4. Conduct basic electrical safety inspections via PAT testing and overall product quality inspections.
5. Write reports and submit them to the Quality Supervisor.
6. Ensure all internal and customer standards are achieved and maintained.
7. Monitor deliveries and returns of electrical products and take action to define the causes of any faults.
8. Assist the Quality Team as needed to meet team objectives.

8. Have a good understanding of electronic principles and the ability to read and understand exploded views, technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and schematics (great to have, but not essential).
