This role sits within our Private Sector FM business division that provides catering, cleaning, hard services, pest control, and security services to a wide range of prestigious clients, within the Business & Industry market.
About The Role:
Days of Working: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week on a permanent basis.
Shift Pattern: One in four weekends on call.
We have an exciting opportunity for a Fabric Engineer to join our team working on a key contract in Bristol.
As part of your role, your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
1. Ensure timely completion of Reactive Works orders and Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) within defined Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
2. Contribute to overall efficiency, effectiveness, and contract profitability.
3. Support the integrated delivery of contracted services, emphasising safety, timeliness, budget adherence, and quality standards.
4. Planning, inspecting, and carrying out repairs or preventative maintenance as required and responding to breakdowns in a timely fashion.
5. Carry out reactive and planned services in a range of environments, including offices, commercial, distribution, and industrial premises.
6. Carry out statutory inspection of assets, including Emergency Lighting, Water Temperature checks, Fire Door inspection and repairs, Plumbing repairs, Lighting checks including basic replacements, and other minor reactive works.
7. Perform fabric work such as plastering, painting and decorating, and carpentry.
8. Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with safety regulations and company policies, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to safety protocols.
9. Maintain clear and effective communication with clients, providing updates on the status of work orders and addressing any concerns or queries they may have.
10. Accurately document all maintenance activities, including the completion of work orders and any issues encountered, and provide regular reports to management.
The ideal candidate should meet the following criteria:
1. You must have the right to work in the UK.
2. Must hold a full UK driving license as use of company vehicle may be required.
3. Time-served Fabric Engineer with maintenance experience.
4. Proficient in Plastering, Carpentry, Painting, Decorating, and other relevant skills.
5. Familiarity with safety documentation and Legionella Awareness.
6. Possession of CSCS Skills card or equivalent.
