Job Description
Our electronics manufacturing client in Abingdon is seeking a Junior Technician. The role would suit an energetic individual looking for their first position.
Responsibilities and Duties
1. Build and test sub-assemblies and tools to the required standard using production documents.
2. Assist the manufacturing team to maintain and improve process and manufacturing quality.
3. Maintain a high level of cleanliness within the production and cleanroom areas.
4. Kitting of assemblies to the Bill of Materials when required.
5. Quality control of parts arriving for stock.
6. Support the Operations team in maintaining Health and Safety standards across the business.
7. Willing to learn new practices and techniques within the production environment.
Qualifications
1. An educational qualification (e.g. GCSE / HND) in a relevant discipline such as Physics or Mechanical Design
2. Some experience in building and testing electro/mechanical assemblies
3. Some experience in wiring/soldering to IPC standards for cable assembly
4. Fluency in written and oral technical English
