Position: Electrical & Mechanical Engineer
Location: Based at our Rodley site in Leeds, LS13 1NP (with travel across local sites)
Hours: Monday to Friday - 40 hours per week with flexible options

Role Overview:
You will play a crucial role in ensuring our equipment operates safely and efficiently through proactive and reactive maintenance. Your expertise will be vital in inspecting, maintaining, diagnosing faults, testing, installing, modifying, and repairing electrical and mechanical equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Install, service, and maintain electrical installations in domestic and commercial properties, adhering to the latest Wiring Regulations.
* Conduct routine maintenance on electrical installations according to IET standards.
* Investigate and resolve plant failures swiftly to minimize operational disruptions, including diagnosing complex faults during incidents.
* Offer technical advice and support, mentoring technical trainees as needed.
* Develop and implement preventive maintenance activities to enhance the lifespan of our electrical systems.
* Maintain accurate documentation and records, including PAT testing.
* Collaborate with external contractors and insurance inspectors as required.
* Design and build processing jigs and fixtures, showcasing your mechanical and workshop skills.
* Perform general duties as needed.
Person Specification:
* Level 4 and 5 Higher National Diploma in Electrical and Mechanical Engineering.
* Thorough knowledge of the current IET Wiring Regulations.
* Prior experience in an electrical/mechanical engineering environment.
* Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for documentation purposes.
* Ability to interpret work instructions, drawings, and schematics.
* Proficient in tracing, diagnosing, and rectifying faults using appropriate testing equipment.
* Valid Full Driving License.
* Willingness to work at heights and in confined spaces, adapting to various work conditions.
* Availability for emergency services outside regular working hours.
* Openness to additional training related to the trade.
