We are passionate about development at Nottingham Building Society, you will have bags of opportunity to grow your skillset and gain exposure to some exciting projects and workstreams where you can add significant value as a subject matter expert.Here’s a taste of what you will be doing as a Systems Engineer at Nottingham Building Society: - You will be an integral part of the technical team that is undergoing a transformational journey as we rapidly build out the digital capability of the Society and adopt and integrate new technologies to allow better customer outcomes. Our Systems Engineers are responsible for the management, maintenance and monitoring of installed systems and infrastructure at Nottingham Building Society. This includes the support, installation, configuration, testing, and maintenance of operating systems, application software, and systems management tools to ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability. You will provide effective 2nd and 3rd line technical support services to internal customers ensuring incidents or problems are resolved within agreed timeframes, whilst delivering excellent customer service to your internal stakeholders. You will maintain recovery procedures for all systems to ensure they can be quickly restored following an operational problem or a major incident. We are looking for colleagues who will actively drive for continuous improvement across technology and process; you will promote current industry best practice in all aspects of technical work which benefit the Society.About you: - Strong understanding of Microsoft Windows suite and Linux (preferably RHEL), Server configuration, upgrades, and patching. A demonstrable knowledge of cloud technology platforms (ideally Azure). Demonstrable configuration & management of office M365 platform (Exchange online, Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive, Intune). Demonstrable management Active Directory, GPOs, Ous. Demonstrable experience of networking, and firewalls.
