Location: The Farmers Arms, Ulverston
Hours: Full-Time (35-45 hours per week)
Pay: £30,420 – £35,100 per year
Key Responsibilities:
* Skills: Preparing, cooking, and presenting dishes to the highest standards within your section
* Kitchen Operation: Collaborating with the Head Chef and Sous Chef to ensure the smooth operation of the kitchen
* Quality: Maintaining exceptional food quality and consistency while adhering to food safety and hygiene regulations
* Stock Management: Assisting with stock management, ordering, and minimising waste
* Creativity: Contributing creative ideas to menu development, including specials and seasonal offerings
* Staff Training: Supporting the training and development of junior kitchen staff
* Procedure & Policy Following: Adhering to all relevant laws, legislation, and internal policies and procedures, ensuring both legal and company standards are met
What We’re Looking For:
* Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in a professional kitchen environment
* Skills: Proficiency in food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen operations and familiarity with food production processes and team management practices
* Knowledge: Strong knowledge of food safety standards and regulations
* High-Paced Environment Experience: Culinary experience in a fast-paced restaurant setting, whilst working calmly and effectively under pressure
* Leadership Skills: Leadership skills to effectively supervise and manage a team (previous experience in a supervisory role is a plus)
* Personality: A passion for quality ingredients and delivering memorable dining experiences
* Attention to Detail: Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, ensuring your section runs efficiently
* Team-Player Attitude: A team player with a positive attitude and a desire to continue learning and growing
