About The Role
We are seeking a content strategist and brand storyteller who can craft engaging, high-impact narratives without relying on AI, but who also understands how to integrate AI tools when needed to enhance efficiency.
This role goes beyond traditional content creation. You will shape how destinations, governments, and industries engage with our work through storytelling, destination marketing, and place branding across multiple platforms.
Your content will directly influence policymakers, urban strategists, tourism boards, and event organizers—shaping the future of sustainable destinations, driving economic growth, and redefining how people experience cities.
Key Responsibilities
* Destination & Place Branding Storytelling - Develop brand messaging, narratives, and storytelling frameworks for cities, regions, and cultural districts. Create content that inspires travel, investment, and participation in urban development and tourism marketing campaigns.
* Multi-Platform Content Strategy - Write reports, blogs, naming concepts, manifestos, podcasts, video scripts, and event narratives that elevate places, destinations, and cultural experiences.
* Event & Campaign Marketing - Produce compelling content for major events and festivals, including Dine Athens Restaurant Week, Taste of Athens, and Stay in Athens Hotel Week. Develop copy for web, social media, advertising, and print.
* Brand Storytelling & Thought Leadership - Write and edit white papers, research reports, and C-level presentations that shape tourism, urban strategy, and economic development discussions.
* Cross-Team Collaboration & Strategic Storytelling - Work closely with researchers, designers, strategists, and marketing teams to develop multi-dimensional, insight-driven narratives.
* Social & Digital Growth - Expand Toposophy's presence on LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, and industry-specific platforms, engaging global destination marketers, policymakers, and cultural leaders.
* Creative Naming & Messaging - Develop brand names, taglines, and voice guides for new city districts, hospitality brands, cultural projects, and major developments.
* Editorial & Content Planning - Own the editorial calendar, ensuring content aligns with campaign launches, marketing goals, and event timelines.
* SEO & Performance-Driven Content - Optimize for AI-powered search (Google SGE), predictive analytics, and structured content to maximize engagement and visibility.
* AI & Innovation - While originality is key, leverage AI-powered tools (ChatGPT, DeepSeek, Grammarly) to scale and personalize content where appropriate.

RequirementsQualifications
* 7+ years in content strategy, brand storytelling, or editorial leadership.
* Exceptional writing ability—capable of producing engaging, well-researched, and original content without relying on AI.
* Experience in destination marketing, tourism, event marketing, urban development, sustainability, or economic policy is a strong plus.
* Strong grasp of SEO, digital analytics, and AI-driven search optimization.
* Proven ability to craft thought leadership, white papers, and policy-driven content.
* Skilled in using AI tools (ChatGPT, Jasper, SurferSEO, Grammarly) strategically—never as a crutch.
* Fluent English writing and editing skills (Greek not required, yet desirable).
