Job Description
Location: Sheffield, Vulcan House - 60% Office 40% WFH attendance required scheduled by rota
Hourly rate: £13.85
Working Days/Hours: Monday to Friday: 9am-5pm
Brook Street in partnership with the Home Office has a fantastic opportunity to join their team as an Admin Officer.
Experience Needed/desired:
* Excellent attention to detail and strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Strong IT skills, including being proficient in the use of MS Office packages including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
* Effective organisation skills, including an ability to identify and prioritise urgent work.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
* Ability to work well individually as well as within a team, in a fast-paced working environment.
* Experience processing complex and varied information accurately and in the required format.
* Ability to multi-task, be flexible and adaptable, manage a varied workload, prioritise effectively, and react quickly and calmly to changing circumstances.
* Time management, including ensuring that you complete and record your allotted daily working hours accurately.
Desirable skills and experience:
* Previous experience working in integrity/audit/contract management/inspection type role.
* Experience drafting emails or other written customer correspondence.
List the duties/responsibilities:
The integrity team within SRS provide a key function in monitoring and maintaining the integrity of the services provided by our commercial partners through audit activity and handling of reports. Another key aspect of the team is the monitoring of the use of systems provided by these partners by caseworkers as part of their day-to-day job. These AO posts are to bolster that capability, allowing us to check the use of WorldPay systems, used by caseworkers to issue refunds and top-up payments for the Immigration Skills Charge (ISC). ISC administration is essential to the skilled worker operational process and without the integrity function, there is an inherent risk of errors being made resulting in loss of revenue and reputational damage for UKVI.
Tasks will include:
* Undertaking audits on the use of supplier systems to ensure maintenance of their integrity.
* Providing feedback on findings to highlight fraud, training needs, and areas for concern.
* Mailbox management - handling of supplier correspondence.
* Supporting the SRS unit with additional audit activity as and when business need demands.
Training:
2 weeks training period. During training period 100% in the office.
Please note that no annual leave will be permitted in the 4 weeks.
Clearance level (to be applied for by Brook Street upon a successful application):
DBS + CTC
Role specific requirements:
You must hold a valid passport and must have lived in the UK for longer than 5 years. Please note that a period of 6 months or longer spent outside of the UK in the last 5 years will unfortunately not be accepted. This role requires security clearance that will be processed for you, if successful.
