We are looking for at two specialist mental health pharmacists to join our team and support our inpatient clinical pharmacy services.
Whilst pharmacy staff are primarily employed by our main pharmacy department at the Wells Road Centre, we are prepared to work with successful candidates to agree where they will undertake their clinical commitments, which constitutes 80% of their working week.
The post will be based at either the Wells Road Centre, Highbury, Hopewood or Blossomwood (this may change in line with service developments) and will involve working with multi-disciplinary teams to provide safe and high quality care to patients.
Main duties of the job
To deliver, in conjunction with the Lead Clinical Pharmacist or Heads of Pharmacy, a clinical pharmacy service to a range of clinical areas. Roles are available, including:
1. Adult Mental Health inpatient wards (multiple locations)
2. Mental Health Services for Older People (multiple locations)
3. Specialist Services including Perinatal and Child and Adolescent Mental Health inpatient services
To contribute to and provide multidisciplinary training in Pharmacy / Medicines Optimisation across the Trust.
In conjunction with the Heads of Pharmacy, contribute to the development, maintenance and monitoring of a high quality, cost effective clinical pharmacy service to the Trust, and contribute to the development of the local pharmacy and medicines optimisation strategy.
