Role summary:
* Monday to Friday
* 8:30am to 5pm
* 30-minute break
No two days are the same, but your role will normally involve delivering a supportive Management Accountant service to Branch Managers and Senior Leadership Team, providing and preparing statements and reports, helping establish annual budgets, as well as producing rolling forecasts, tracking KPIs to monitor financial performance, and coordinating and maintaining our corporate credit cards.
The role entails initiating monthly management accountants, preparing monthly reports (including sales/cost of sales and profit and loss), producing daily sales reports for the Group, completing balance sheets, generating Transport invoices, processing business accruals and prepayments (e.g. rent/rates), and calculation of supplier rebates and reconciliations.
You will also have the opportunity to complete write-offs and provisions for bad debts, proactively compile IFRS/LOIS lease figures ahead of the month-end, and prepare for Office for National Statistics (ONS) questionnaires.
What we are looking for:
* CIMA, ACCA or equivalent qualification (or working towards)
* Experience in a finance or accounting role, preferably in a B2B environment.
* Experience with budgets, or advising on budgetary management.
* Expertise in budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
* Understanding of relevant regulations and compliance requirements.
* Proven ability to work with finance and accounting software.
* Proficient in IT, Microsoft Excel, data analysis, and reporting software.
* Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
* Analytical skills for data interpretation and reporting
* Good understanding of financial principles
* Accuracy and attention to detail
* Resilience and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
* Strong awareness of economic change and financial trends
