Working options | office-based with optional rotational remote working in line with divisional requirements Working pattern | full time Working hours | 37.5 (Monday – Friday) hours per week Reports to | Head of Broking What we’re looking for: As a Commercial Account Executive, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of existing, longstanding commercial accounts, identifying new business opportunities, and achieving best in class renewal and sales targets. You will drive new business opportunities and generate new business leads. The role will include sourcing and contacting leads within our chosen markets, arranging and hosting sales and relationship meetings, and converting prospects into new business. You will also be expected to maintain existing insurer relationships and seek out new insurance partners to meet the needs of our customers. You will be responsible for identifying suitable opportunities through proactive outreach which will include outbound calls, event attendance, drop in visits and webinars. You will also be responsible for key clients ensuring the service provided is second to none, visiting and providing best advice at all times. You will have a passion for generating new business and will show energy, drive and professionalism whilst striving to exceed targets. This role requires someone who enjoys getting out there to meet existing and new clients, understanding and managing their needs with the ability to develop effective sales strategies, and execute them to achieve desired outcomes. While this role will not have any direct people management, you will be expected to help coach and guide less experienced teammates in building relationships, developing new business with key clients and with partners at industry events. Some of the things you'll get up to: Delivering the agreed Business Development strategy to secure new clients and retain key clients in each of the Insurance product lines Building and managing profitable partnerships with new and existing clients and suppliers, ensuring this is built upon mutual respect and integrity at all times Proactively identifying new leads, initiating contact and following through to completion; this is to include arranging and attending client meetings, attending industry events, and informal visits to potential new clients and insurance suppliers Collaborating with internal departments and key teammates to ensure customer satisfaction and drive revenue growth Preparing sales reports, and providing regular updates to senior management Managing the renewal register, re-broking as and where necessary Identifying cross selling opportunities for other HF products and services Providing the best advice and guidance to customers and prospects in a transparent and honest way; this will mean keeping your knowledge up to date Contributing to and participating in marketing initiatives, providing innovative ideas and suggestions to grow the business We’d like you to have: Experience: Extensive insurance sales experience in the commercial property, commercial combined markets and high net worth residential markets Proven relationship management and sales experience with strong communication and presentation skills Knowledge: Qualified to a minimum of Cert CII status with ACII status being beneficial Knowledge of Acturis will be useful; support can be given A good knowledge of Microsoft Office packages particularly using Excel and PowerPoint to a high standard Skills: Highly motivated, self-driven, and able to work independently as well as part of a team Drive and determination with the ability to find and implement innovative solutions to problems Excellent customer service skills (both written and verbal) with the ability to communicate clearly and precisely in an open and transparent way Confidence to deal and negotiate effectively with large clients Ability to effectively analyse data, reach conclusions, make recommendations, and produce reports The ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and keep promises within a fast-moving environment Must be able to travel within the UK as required, including overnight Benefits: 23 days holiday UK bank holidays Life assurance Private health care for you and dependents Employee assistance programme, including GP line, cashback for treatments, advice line Season ticket loan Rental deposit loan Annual leave purchase scheme As part of the HFIS Group, access to discounted personal insurance is available At HFIS we value development and progression of all our people and so we also offer financial support for studying towards professional qualifications plus study time.
