Our OEM Client based in Gaydon is searching for a QA Engineering – Senior Engineer to join their team, Inside IR35. This is a 10-month contract position until 27th February 2026.
Umbrella Pay Rate: Up to £33.64 per hour.

The Programme Quality Teams drive quality into programme delivery by acting as the 'Voice of the Customer' and influencing programme management teams, Product Development, Purchasing, Suppliers, Manufacturing, and Marketing to make customer-driven decisions.
This specific 10-month fixed-term role will focus on managing programme quality within the delivery of Vehicle Programmes on our leading and iconic brands, ensuring achievement of key Quality targets during the development of new vehicle programmes to meet customer expectations.
Responsibilities:
* Ensure the integrity of quality maturation via assessment and validation of Critical to Quality deliverables through to Gateway approval.
* Develop and drive Whole Life Quality Plans to ensure vehicles meet quality targets and reduce Things Gone Wrong (TGW).
* Drive the Customer Acceptance Testing (CAT) process from IPB build to post, including problem resolution and TGW reduction.
* Ensure all programme deliverables under the programme quality team's responsibility are delivered robustly and on time.
* Manage risks and issues for delayed deliverables through risk and recovery plans.
* Support engineering delivery with Evidence-Based Engineering Reviews, Design Review by Failure Mode, AGILE working, and other forums to provide quality input and risk assessment.
* Lead lessons learned events and promote continuous improvement to enhance product and business processes.
Skills, Knowledge, and Experience:
Essential:
* Understanding of programme and project management with knowledge of delivery frameworks (e.g., PCDS), deliverables, and gateway governance.
* Ability to present complex issues clearly to various business levels.
* Experience working with customer and competitor insight data to inform product decisions.
* Experience with Failure Mode Avoidance Methodology within systems engineering at feature, system, subsystem, software, or hardware levels.
Desirable:
* Knowledge of Quality Management and Operating Systems such as APQP, ISO9001, IATF 16949.
* Proficiency with engineering problem-solving tools like 8D, Sigma, and robustness tools such as P-Diagram and DFMEA.
* Knowledge of Quality Tools across strategy, delivery, launch, and manufacturing disciplines.
