BSL Teaching Assistant Canterbury £450 - £550 per week (salary is depending on experience and/or qualifications) ASAP – August 2025 About the Role We are seeking a passionate and dedicated BSL Teaching Assistant to join an inclusive and supportive school in Canterbury. You will work closely with students who are deaf or have hearing impairments, supporting their learning and communication in the classroom. Key Responsibilities Provide 1:1 and small group support to students using British Sign Language (BSL) Assist teachers in delivering an inclusive curriculum Support students with their educational and social development Facilitate communication between students, teachers, and peers Adapt learning materials to suit the needs of students with hearing impairments Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment Requirements ✔️ BSL Level 2 or above (Level 3 desirable) ✔️ Experience working with children or young people in an educational setting ✔️ A patient, caring, and adaptable approach to learning support ✔️ Strong communication and teamwork skills ✔️ A passion for supporting children with additional needs About us We are a market-leading education supply agency committed to the development of young people.
