Here at Long-Term Teachers, we are working closely with a Special school in Wiltshire. They are seeking a strong HLTA to work ideally on a full-time basis providing support across the school.
This wonderful school looks after a wide range of special needs which includes SLD, PMLD, MLD, ASD & Complex Needs. Having worked closely with this school for a number of years I can confidently say that they are a fantastic school to work at, a number of candidates we have placed at the school have stayed long-term.
The Role
This role is a full-time position (though they are open to part-time applicants), where the successful candidate will be expected to essentially provide cover across the school. The role would be leading lessons of pre-planned cover as well as just providing support across the school where necessary.
Due to the needs of the students it is essential that you have experience in working with special needs & disabilities and have direct experience working in a special school. They are open to applications from a range of different candidates, so whether you're an experienced SEN TA looking for a role with more responsibility or an HLTA looking for a new role - please apply!
You will be expected to:
* Be adaptable and flexible around the needs of the pupils.
* Have good experience of working with SEND
* Lead pre-planned lessons
