We have an exciting new role with Hull City Tigers as a HR Admin Apprentice. As an Apprentice, you will support the Human Resources department with essential administrative tasks while gaining valuable on-the-job training. This role is ideal for individuals looking to develop a career in HR and gain hands-on experience in a dynamic workplace.

Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
Recruitment Support:
* Support the full recruitment cycle from advert creation, shortlisting, and interview coordination in line with organisational policy.
* Assist the department with the onboarding of new staff including pre-employment checking (DBS & References), sending offers, contracts, and tracking returned paperwork.
* Provide safer recruitment administration support to the Safeguarding Team, in line with the organisation's Safer Recruitment policy.
Training & Development:
* Assist with invitations for all E-Learning for staff, including but not limited to EFL Safeguarding, EDI Training, and generic HR training.
* Log returns and completions and chase outstanding items.
Employee Records & Compliance:
* Assist with the development and maintenance of electronic staff files and records.
* Support the maintenance of all aspects of the Single Central Record, ensuring all employees are entered, and key information (including DBS dates, training records, and scanned self-declarations) is recorded.Ensure that all DBS renewals are proactively created and chased, highlighting to the Head of Safeguarding any at risk
of expiry.
* Support the tracking of Right to Work (RTW) documentation.
* Support the department in ensuring that all activity is fully compliant with GDPR and data protection legislation, highlighting any areas of concern.
Administrative Support:
* Support the HR department and wider organisation with audit information.
* Ensure that Purchase Orders and general ordering for the department is undertaken.
* General office administration, including handling post, managing supplies.
Payroll & HR Queries:
* Help with payroll preparation by providing relevant data.
* Respond to employee queries regarding HR policies and procedures.

Course contents
* Skilled in the use of multiple IT packages and systems relevant to the organisation in order to: write letters or emails, create proposals, perform financial processes, record and analyse data. Examples include MS Office or equivalent packages. Able to choose the most appropriate IT solution to suit the business problem. Able to update and review databases, record information and produce data analysis where required.
* Produces accurate records and documents including: emails, letters, files, payments, reports and proposals. Makes recommendations for improvements and present solutions to management. Drafts correspondence, writes reports and able to review others' work. Maintains records and files, handles confidential information in compliance with the organisation's procedures. Coaches others in the processes required to complete these tasks.
* Exercises proactivity and good judgement. Makes effective decisions based on sound reasoning and is able to deal with challenges in a mature way. Seeks advice of more experienced team members when appropriate.
* Builds and maintains positive relationships within their own team and across the organisation. Demonstrates ability to influence and challenge appropriately. Becomes a role model to peers and team members, developing coaching skills as they gain area knowledge.

Your training plan
Level 3 Apprenticeship in Business Administration consisting of:
* Level 3 Apprenticeship in Business Administration
* Level 2 Functional Skills in Mathematics (if applicable)
* Level 2 Functional Skills in English (if applicable)
You will be required to attend a half-day session with HBTC where you will work towards any functional skills (where needed) that you have to take. Additional off the job training will also be required as part of the Apprenticeship. There will also be an end point assessment.
