About the Company: A leading global Investment Bank is seeking a highly skilled Crisis Management and Intelligence Associate to join our Crisis Management and Intelligence team. This role provides an exciting opportunity to work at the heart of operational stability, managing major business-impacting incidents while collaborating with teams worldwide.
About the Role: As a Crisis Management and Intelligence Associate, you will be responsible for monitoring the global threat landscape, identifying potential risks, and providing early warning intelligence. You will work closely with internal stakeholders to assess threats, manage incident response, and ensure operational resilience. This dynamic role requires the ability to manage high-pressure situations and rapidly assess complex incidents.
The role is based in Glasgow, Hybrid work style - 3 days a week in the office, with the potential to transition into a permanent position after a one-year contract.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct daily monitoring of potential threats, including geopolitical, cyber, and physical security risks.
* Assess intelligence and provide proactive assessments of potential risks to the firm and financial sector.
* Lead incident response, triage calls, and impact assessments during crisis situations.
* Ensure effective communication with stakeholders and coordinate response efforts across teams.
* Utilize social media monitoring tools, open-source intelligence (OSINT), and industry intelligence feeds to identify emerging threats.
* Collaborate with a global team to implement and enhance crisis management strategies.
* Participate in on-call rotations, including periodic bank holiday and weekend coverage.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Ability to remain composed and make quick decisions in high-stress situations.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to assess complex threats.
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information clearly to non-technical audiences.
* Experience with geopolitical risk analysis, OSINT methodologies, and crisis response strategies.
* Knowledge of financial sector threats, including cybersecurity risks and business continuity planning.
* Ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
* Experience in a follow-the-sun operational model or global crisis management team is a plus.
* Fluency in another language and/or international experience is an advantage.
Experience & Education:
* Minimum of 2 years of experience in intelligence analysis, crisis management, or a related field within the financial sector, technology industry, government, or military.
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in intelligence, security, or a related field.
