About The Service An exciting opportunity has arisen for a committed individual who enjoys providing care within an outreach community setting. There is one temporary full time Care & Wellbeing Assistant post available, working within our Community Hubs and Care hubs, delivering a respite service that provides support to adults living with early onset Dementia. Support is provided for service users to access a wide range of day opportunities within a supervised care setting. About the job The successful applicant will work as part of an established team supporting adults living with early onset dementia to access daytime opportunities within a community venue. The role requires the post holder to deliver quality care & support to ensure service users physical and emotional well-being needs are met; along with delivering & supporting participation in social & recreational activities. What We Are Looking For From You Ideally, you will have experience of working with older people living with early onset dementia. Ideally, you should hold the QCF care level 2 for the post, along with the willingness to undertake relevant designated training courses. You will need to be flexible as this post involves weekend working on a rota basis along with service delivery within citywide locations. You will have a positive & happy attitude, along with the ability to engage, encourage and support service users. You will have excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. Additional information There is 1 full time post available; this post is temporary until 30th September 2025. This post is subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service Enhanced check.
