An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Medical Administrator to join our busy 2 partner practice.
The role will require that you provide general administration assistance to the practice team.
Applicants must be self-motivated, able to work under pressure, eager to learn, and have excellent communication and IT skills. This busy and varied role requires the ability to work as part of a team.
Experience of working in General Practice or other NHS settings is preferable; however, full training will be given.
This role requires a flexible approach to working to provide additional cover when required and the ability to adapt to change.
Main duties of the job
* Provide general assistance to the practice team and project a positive and friendly image to patients and other visitors.
* Assist and direct patients in accessing appropriate services.
* Work to practice policies and protocols.
About us
Moreton Medical Centre is a busy but friendly 2 partner practice with a practice population of approximately 5300 patients.
Our clinical team consists of 2 partners, 4 salaried GPs, 1 ACP, and 3 nurses. We are a training practice and currently have 3 GP trainees.

* Receive and make calls as required.
* Scanning/read coding.
* Input data into the patients' healthcare records as necessary.
* Process incoming e-test results, ensuring they are referred to the relevant clinician.
* Answer incoming phone calls, transferring calls or dealing with the caller's request appropriately.
* Support all clinical staff with general administrative tasks as requested.
* Follow practice protocols and procedures.

Qualifications
* Good standard of education including a minimum of GCSE grade A to C in English and Maths (or equivalent).
* IT literate.
* Experience of working as part of a team.
