Key Responsibilities
* Manage the daily operations of the 3-bed home, ensuring high-quality, tailored care for children with learning disabilities.
* Lead and inspire a small team to deliver individualised support that promotes independence and well-being.
* Ensure full compliance with Ofsted regulations, safeguarding policies, and relevant LD-specific legislation.
* Develop and implement care plans that address the unique needs of each resident.
* Oversee budgets, financial records, and the maintenance of the home's facilities.
* Coordinate admissions and discharges, maintaining accurate and up-to-date documentation.
* Build strong relationships with families, external agencies, and healthcare professionals.
* Participate in on-call duties and occasional sleep-ins to support staff and residents as needed.
* Drive continuous improvement by introducing innovative care practices aligned with best standards.
Candidate Requirements
* Proven experience as a Deputy Manager ready to advance or a Registered Manager in a children's residential setting.
* Specific expertise in supporting children with learning disabilities (LD) is highly desirable.
* Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care (or equivalent), or willingness to achieve it with support.
* Strong knowledge of Ofsted standards, safeguarding procedures, and relevant legislation (e.g., Children's Homes Regulations).
* Demonstrated ability to lead a team, manage budgets, and foster a positive care environment.
* Full UK driving licence and access to reliable transport (preferred).
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with attention to detail in reporting.
