Talent-UK are recruiting on behalf of their client based in Mirfield for an experienced Customer Service Co-ordinator to join their busy and ever-expanding well-established team on a full-time, permanent basis.
The role will pay circa 25-30k per annum DOE. Hours of work are Monday - Thursday 8.30am - 5pm and Friday 8.30am - 3.45pm. The role also comes with a mobile phone and laptop which is provided to you.
There is also an option with the role to work from home 1 day per week if preferred.
The purpose of the role is to provide exceptional customer service to a dedicated account of customers, ensuring that they receive their orders on the expected dates and resolving any issues or problems that may arise throughout the process.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
1. Processing of sales orders in a timely and accurate manner, providing cover across the department during holidays and busy periods.
2. Acknowledge orders back to the customer, advising them of any quantity changes, changes to delivery dates, etc.
3. Amend orders already placed, ensuring that production and transport are kept informed of any changes.
4. Advise customers of any shortages on deliveries and when delivery to them can be made.
5. Book in deliveries and send copies of delivery notes, ensuring they are signed and returned.
6. Maintain the complaints and returns database and raise return notes.
7. Investigate any customer complaints regarding the supply of orders, escalating to the Customer Service Manager if necessary.
8. Manage activities throughout the order fulfilment and transportation cycle to ensure established deadlines are met.
9. Streamline shipping and transportation processes.
10. Facilitate the shipping of products from one destination to another.
11. Arrange transportation, schedule staff, and orchestrate deliveries to meet customer demand with little to no delay.
12. Receive products and coordinate delivery.
13. Prepare loads for shipment.
14. Ensure warehouse capacity is kept at optimal levels.
15. Take steps to avoid quality control issues.
Key Competencies for the Role:
1. Previous experience working within a customer service/supply chain role within the manufacturing industry - Preferred.
2. Experience using SAP or a bespoke order processing system - Preferred.
3. Microsoft Excel knowledge - Essential.
4. Extremely organized - Essential.
5. Methodical.
6. Accurate.
7. Good team player - ability to multitask.
8. Excellent communication skills.
