A client within the Public Sector is currently recruiting for a Project Manager (Fire & Building Safety) to join their Asset & Compliance team as soon as possible. The client is offering a full-time, permanent position, with the ideal candidate having experience working within a housing association in a building safety environment.
The Role
Key purpose of the role is to be responsible for leading fire and building safety projects across a diverse portfolio of homes, ensuring compliance with all relevant safety regulations.
Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
* Managing actions from fire risk assessments and overseeing fire safety upgrades, including fire doors, alarms, and ventilation systems.
* Leading high-profile safety projects, such as compartmentation surveys in high-rise buildings.
* Managing project budgets of up to £1 million, ensuring efficiency and value for money.
* Ensuring compliance with CDM 2015, Approved Document B, The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, The Fire Safety Regulations 2022, and The Building Safety Act 2022.
* Working closely with internal teams and external suppliers to deliver projects effectively.
The Candidate
To be considered for this role, you will require:
* An HNC, Degree, or Diploma qualification (or equivalent) within the built environment.
* Experience managing fire safety works within the social housing sector.
* Strong knowledge of relevant building safety legislation and compliance requirements.
The below skills would be beneficial for the role:
* Experience managing external contractors and resolving disputes.
* Strong budget management, forecasting, and financial planning skills.
* Proficiency in MS Office and specialist project/asset management software.
Salary
The client is looking to move quickly with this role and is offering up to £51,128 p/a including a car allowance.
