Job Summary and Responsibilities We have two positions available for a full-time Project Manager and a fixed-term Project Manager for maternity leave cover to join our London team. Both roles are integral to the business, with primary responsibilities to manage client relationships and oversee the delivery of safe and creative structures in an efficient, professional, and timely manner. As the primary point of contact for both new and established clients, you will play a crucial role in guiding them through the design and hiring process, from initial concept phase to effective and successful execution. Your daily responsibilities will involve coordination with the Warehouse and Operations teams and collaboration with the Projects and Management teams. Both roles involve supporting our clients to ensure the success of their events, while delivering exceptional quality and consistently exceeding their expectations. This roles would be ideal for individuals with exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, who are well-organised and can expertly represent Steeldeck to our clients. Highly desirable qualities include experience in the creative industries, a knowledge of temporary structures, a strong understanding of current Health and Safety regulations, as well as proven leadership skills. Training will be provided to the ideal candidates. Hours: Office hours are 08:00–16:30 (Monday to Friday). Occasional evening and weekend work may be required. Start Date: As soon as possible Salary: £44,000 to £48,000 pa (dependent on experience) Holiday: 25 days (per year pro rata) plus bank holidays Responsibilities Managing enquiries from new and existing clients. Planning and designing structures to client requirements whilst in keeping with best practice. Promoting new equipment and services to drive sales. Accurate completion of site surveys. Calculation of quotes for equipment hire, transport and staffing for events. Liaison with Operations, Warehouse, Crew and Driving teams to ensure projects are delivered effectively, sustainably, safely and on schedule. Compiling Risk Assessment and Method Statements. Managing a team of on-site crew, scheduling workload and ensuring their welfare alongside Health and Safety compliance. Essential Skills and Requirements: Excellent client care skills. Self-motivated and able to work well as part of a team. A good communicator and team leader. Adaptable and able to work well under pressure and deal with last minute changes. Able to travel and be away from home or our London office, dependent on location of event. Able to plan and prioritise a varied workload whilst maintaining attention to detail. Desirable Experience: Knowledge of Steeldeck staging, temporary demountable structures, and the theatre or events industry. Experience of drawing with AutoCAD, and interpreting existing client and venue drawings. Knowledge of ABTT Technical Standards for Places of Entertainment. Knowledge of IStructE guide to Temporary Demountable Structures. Experience of working in a busy office with the ability to handle multiple enquiries at one time. Use of Asset Management software (Current RMS). Experience in building, designing or realising basic scenic elements and carpentry. Full UK Driving licence.
