This opportunity offers a diverse role, providing project and operational support across Operational Technology environments for a number of key clients. You will be part of a collaborative and supportive SCADA team, responsible for the delivery of SCADA support services and projects. Through training and on-the-job mentoring you will build your network engineering knowledge with hands-on exposure to networking technology. We offer flexible work arrangements available including hybrid working from home, and in the Melbourne office (minimum 2-3 days/week requested). Your future duties and responsibilities: • SCADA maintenance support services • SCADA/RTU installation, commissioning and database configuration • PLC/RTU configuration for asset monitoring and control • Completion of SCADA host database and schematic configuration • Developing project documentation, reports and records • Working with clients in maintenance support service delivery and testing • Performing hands-on systems engineering tasks • Providing escalated (2nd level) technical support, troubleshooting and fault rectification of high level technical issues related to SCADA systems or services • Conducting acceptance tests and commissioning systems and equipment • Conduit between clients and vendors/carriers regarding high level technical issues • Analysing SCADA protocols, traffic data and providing recommendations on performance improvement to optimise client’s SCADA system implementations • Help identify and generate business opportunities • Participate in the 24/7 on-call roster. Required qualifications to be successful in this role: We are looking for current SCADA Engineers with 3-6 years’ commercial experience in the following: • Configuration and maintenance of RTUs, PLCs and SCADA hosts, including the ability to support a variety of technologies • Knowledge of industry standards and government regulations relevant to SCADA systems • SCADA protocols such as DNP, Modbus and IEC61850 • Technical support and systems administration Experience or academic knowledge of the following is highly regarded: • Router Hardware/Software, Switch Hardware/Software, Routing Protocols, Firewalls • Networking systems and software (LAN and WAN) • An understanding of emerging technologies in SCADA and their potential commercial application Additional skills/experience required: • Excellent Troubleshooting/problem solving • Excellent written and oral communication • Task and time management skills • A strong customer service orientation • Full permanent work rights for Australia.
